通常の椅子よりも座面を低く抑えたことで、床にしっかり足が届き安心感もあり、どこか素朴で見た目にもホッとする腰掛け。背もたれに体を預けゆったりと団欒のひと時を過ごしていただけたら幸いです。

 
今回の椅子制作にあたり...
産地の杉材を使って地産を進め循環させていけたらと思い製作に踏み切った椅子です。
原材料が分かる安心感を感じていただきながら、日々の暮らしに寄り添う家具を目指しています。
杉は肌ざわりがほんのりとあたたかく、軽く柔らか。それは傷つきやすさにも繋がります。
家具の材料としては避けられる素材ではありますが、その特徴は強みでもあります。
女性でも簡単に持ち上げられ、生活に馴染むにつれて風合いは味となり、経年変化を楽しむことで愛着も湧いてきます。
コンパクトで圧迫感もなく、通常の椅子よりも座る高さを低く抑えることで、床に足がしっかりとつき安心感も得られます。

This is a small armless chair with a seat width, depth, and height of 380 mm.
The seat is lower than that of a normal chair, so that you can reach your feet firmly on the floor and feel a sense of security, and the seat is somewhat rustic and relaxing to the eye. We hope that you will lean your body against the backrest and enjoy a relaxing and happy time together.
 
In making this chair...
We decided to produce this chair in the hope of promoting and circulating local production by using cedar wood from the local area.
We aim to create furniture that will be a part of your daily life, while giving you a sense of security in knowing the raw materials used.
Cedar is warm to the touch, light and soft. It is also easily scratched.
Although it is a material to be avoided as a furniture material, this characteristic is also its strength.
Even a woman can lift it easily, and as it becomes accustomed to life, its texture becomes a taste, and as it ages, you can enjoy its changes and grow attached to it.
The chair is compact and does not feel oppressive, and by keeping the sitting height lower than that of a normal chair, you can feel secure with your feet firmly planted on the floor.
